I have pride in being an original New Mexican. Even though I most definitely am not going to live in this Land of Enchantment for the rest of my life, I know for a fact that I will come back over and over for as long as I have breath in my body.


As my father and I ate up the road into Roswell a few days ago, I stared off into the skyline to the mountains and the beautiful sunset, and they both seem like they could go on forever and ever without end. I've been all over this state and every square inch of it never ceases to amaze me.
